Kooiman named Vita Plus livestock nutrition consultant

(Madison, Wis.) – Micah Kooiman recently joined Vita Plus as a livestock nutrition consultant.  He will provide nutrition and management consulting to swine and beef farms throughout southwest Minnesota, northwest Iowa, and southeast South Dakota. He will work with Vita Plus teammates to offer farm-specific solutions – based on the latest research and technologies – to help producers meet their business goals.

Kooiman earned his bachelor’s degree in animal science at Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa.  Kooiman grew up in Bellingham, Washington, and attended Whatcom Community College before moving to Iowa. His previous career experience includes working on a beef feedlot and cropping operation, porcine research, and swine consulting with a local livestock feed manufacturer.
